Knit the Bridge

Knit the Bridge is a grassroots community arts project that embraced graffiti knitting as its mode of explanation, rather than a graffiti knitting crew.  The project brought together many different communities in Pittsburgh to yarnbomb the Andy Warhol/7th Street Bridge and maintain the installation for three weeks before removing the yarn and re-purposing it for people in need.
