On September 23, 2014, Media, Activism, and Participatory Politics (MAPP) participated in an NWP Educator Innovator webinar, By Any Media Necessary. Educators Paul Richardson, from Kansas City, Missouri, and Sarabeth Leitch, from Portland, Oregon, joined facilitator Paul Oh and MAPP team members Gabriel Peters-Lazaro, Sangita Shresthova, and Liana Gamber-Thompson in a discussion of what embracing a “By Any Media Necessary” approach in the classroom looks like on the ground. Participants discussed integrating peer-based learning, media production, popular culture, and storytelling into the classroom.
