HOMOtracker

HOMOtracker began in 2006 as the brainchild of a small group of lesbian & gay professionals seeking to exchange information, give advice and gain support as they got their feet wet in the entertainment industry. Over time, the group has expanded its focus to include bi-annual community outreach efforts such as SpringOUT and FallOUT, proceeds of which have benefited organizations including the LA Gay & Lesbian Center, Equality California, The Trevor Project, Outfest and most recently the California marriage equality grass-roots organization FAIR.

Today, HOMOtracker maintains an exclusive membership of approximately 50 professionals in the entertainment industry, including writers, directors and representatives from all major studios, networks, agencies and production companies including Fox, MTV Networks, The Gotham Group, Focus Features, Imagine Entertainment, Dreamworks, Endeavor, Warner Bros, USA Network, Sony, Lionsgate, William Morris Agency, Paradigm, Here! TV and Logo.

In the fall of 2008, in the last few weeks leading up to the November 4 vote, HOMOtracker produced and released three online campaign ads against Proposition 8. These ads were mostly a play on the "I'm a PC, I'm a Mac"-style ads by Apple in the mid-2000s and used No on 8 to represent the better, more attractive, and correct choice to make for equality and fairness, as opposed to the less appealing and discriminatory rhetoric of Yes on 8.
