By Any Media Necessary: Mapping Youth and Participatory Politics

Connect

These individuals, groups, and organizations are particularly skilled at connecting their constituents with others. These actions can help turn the audiences of groups' messages into active publics who can support constituents or group actions.  Many of the organizations here focus both on connecting individuals within the group, for example building a collective identity, and preparing them to network beyond the group. It's particularly important for digital activists to pay attention to how they connect because the online context allows for messages to circulate far, far beyond the imagined audience.
